Each nationality has different visa requirements and it is your responsibility to ensure that you have a valid visa. We will assist in any questions or queries that you may have and will also provide any documentation you may require to show proof of travel. The most reliable means of securing a visa for travel to Gabon is to apply prior to departure at the Embassy or Consulate of the Gabonese Republic. Visitor may also apply online via Gabon’s “E-Visa” program. The application processing time is 72 hours and the visa is issued at Libreville International Airport upon arrival. Since October 2017, citizens of G20 countries, may obtain a single-entry visa at the Libreville International Airport upon arrival but you need to ensure that you have FCFA, Euro or US$ cash to pay for these.

Passports

Please ensure that you pass on your passport information to Gabon Adventure Tours prior to departure. Gabon as most countries in Africa require you to have at least 6 months validity past the date that you intend to return home.

Please note that all ATM’s will ONLY dispense cash in local currency. You will only be able to draw FCFA cash from ATM’s in Gabon.

Cash

Bring most of your spending money in cash as FCFA, US dollars or Euro. Generally, Euro are the easiest to exchange so make sure to preferablely change your money into Euro before you leave your own country. Your guide can advise you where it is best to change money into the local currency on your tour and how much you are likely to require.
